During the spring of 2004, tvsdesign was commissioned to develop design concepts for the renovation of this 1960s vintage 400-seat recital hall, and its lobby, green room, and ancillary spaces. Design concepts and renderings were developed in collaboration with Dr. Haberlen, Director of the School of Music, at GSU. Renderings and descriptions were used by Dr. Haberlen to raise funds for the project.

Renowned acoustical consultants Kirkegaard & Associates were used to make an acoustically superior hall great which gives GSU one of the best performance spaces in the City of Atlanta.
