Planners sought to connect the old city with a new avenue aligned with ancient People’s Boulevard as the central traffic artery. By minimizing isolated structures, the buildings define the streets and open spaces for a unified sense of the built environment. A contiguous green space unites the district and attracts pedestrians and bicycle traffic.
